Day 9 - Las Vegas - Celine Dion

We were able to sleep in today as we did not have any event until the Celine Dion show in the evening.  Laundry, errands, car washing, and exploring Las Vegas are some of the things done during our free time.  For lunch, Claudia and I heard about this Japanese Noodle House in Chinatown called Monta so we checked it out and it was great.  We also visited two Las Vegas businesses featured on the History Channel; Rick’s Restoration (American Restoration) and The Gold and Silver Pawn Shop (Pawn Stars).  The businesses were open but none of the stars work on Saturday.

In the evening, we attended the Celine Dion show.  Celine is a Canadian singer originally from Quebec.  In 2002, she signed a three-year (later extended to five years) contract to perform five nights a week in a theatrical show at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace, a 4,000 seat auditorium built especially for her show.  After touring the world, she’s again is back in Las Vegas performing at Caesar’s Palace.  During her nearly two-hour show, she performed most of her hits including the Beauty and the Beast theme song.  She concluded her show with her biggest selling hit, the theme song from the movie Titanic, My Heart Will Go On.
