Our morning
travels was at our own pace as we were not to reach the Riverside Resort until
after 1:30 p.m
Aldo
prepared the Rig for travel while Cece went to the Circus Circus Casino for one
last date with Rhett and Scarlett on the Gone With The Wind Slot Machine.
We left the
KOA RV Park for a leisure drive to Laughlin Nevada. Aldo & Cece (#11), and John & Connie (#7)
traveled together.
We stopped
in Searchlight, Nevada for lunch and some time on the old fashioned slots. Your winnings (if any) were paid out in cash
by an attendant instead of the ticket like they use in Las Vegas and Laughlin.
Searchlight
appeared to be a popular stop for many in the group
Our group
arrived at the RV Park on a timely basis and we all got parked and set up.
There was
some confusion for the first event which was held at the Edgewater E-Center. All was fine when we met for the Dinner
Buffet at 5 p.m. at Riverside Hotel and Casino Resort, which had some
outstanding selections.
The evening continued with more entertainment by Mr. E, and a Sock Hop followed. During the sock hop they held a bubble blowing contest with bubble gum. Our very own Joe Risley competed and blew a pretty big bubble, but did not win. Good try, Joe.
